My dog Koda - a mixe...I know exactly what you mean. My dog Koda - a mixed breed - was about 2 when I moved out of my mothers house and we normally left him out to run during the day with no issues...until we moved. After we moved and we would leave him out in the living room only to come home to peed and pood on carpets! We just started crating him since we thought it might have been that the carpets weren't cleaned in our apartment before we moved in and it smelled somewhat like dog pee......even after we shampooed it like 20 times! Once we moved into another place we started to let him roam again and had no issues. I assume he was peeing because he was trying to mark his territory and he never could cover up the smell......as for the poo....not sure why he did that. All I know is that he doesn't do it now!
